I know what you mean about those stitches eating thread, it's quite heart-attack inducing at times when you wonder if you'll have enough left to finish other bits!Katy Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04374079358515448439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-55124126053001534752013-11-17T20:35:39.944-05:002013-11-17T20:35:39.944-05:00Wow--I would feel very nervous about drafting a co...Wow--I would feel very nervous about drafting a complete pattern and having the skirt actually fit! Your attention to detail is impressive, I'm a lot more "Oh that'll do" but it shows in the finished garment. I'm very impressed!Sum of their Storieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06331115807411036472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-45327050535162743082013-11-13T09:14:28.279-05:002013-11-13T09:14:28.279-05:00That book looks super interesting, I love self dra...That book looks super interesting, I love self drafted patterns! I'm quite impressed by the smoothness of those darts.
I made a skirt sloper from the same book a few weeks ago and I had the same thing happen... too much room in the bum. That never happens for me, so I found it a little odd.
A tip for next time... hem facings. No easing at all, since it is cut to match. =)
I had to laugh about the edge finish... every time I use a stitch other than a straight stitch on my machine I'm surprised about how long it takes and how much thread it uses. I love having a serger. =)Charityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01241665927426974819noreply@blogger.com
