I find that much easier..LOL!
The bags that you made look wonderful. I like the material.
Thank you for sharing.
Have a great week.
Lois
PS...I was just wondering....did you get any strange looks while smelling th
tapistry at the store? giggle...giggle....Loishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05982808720385645394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-21187144623843695822012-03-12T14:28:38.152-04:002012-03-12T14:28:38.152-04:00I love Jane's drawstring pattern too, it was m...I love Jane's drawstring pattern too, it was much more simple that I had expected it to be to make a little drawstring pouch!
I do love Ladybirds (or bugs as you call them :0) ) but Ladybird tapestry is a little bit spooky, you have however done a fabulous job with it.
I would never have thought of leaving the turning opening on the side, great idea, thanks for that!
Kandi xKandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05765946096687063480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-66324174249496084472012-03-12T10:12:11.298-04:002012-03-12T10:12:11.298-04:00That fabric looks like it would be hard to work wi...That fabric looks like it would be hard to work with. Yep, there's a smell.

Once a customer told me that the premade nylon belting I used for my handle made my bag look cheap. And she demanded a $5 discount. I hahahaha and she still bought the bag at full price. The only thing I don't like about the premade handles is some are quite slippery so not good for handles.

I always leave my gap on the side seams unless the design makes it a problem and I leave the gap at the bottom. I prefer it this way as after sewing it up, the hand stitches are less visible.

Oh, my lunchtime pouch is mentioned. Thank you. Selling my patterns has been quite an amazing journey. I received a lot of encouragement from my buyers. It's so unlike selling ready made items. It's like they want to help me grow my business. Many have helped me with links, like yourself. I'm really touched so thanks once again.jane phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17982232223532908863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-42247746576794338452012-03-12T07:32:36.781-04:002012-03-12T07:32:36.781-04:00Ugh, yes, hate that acetate lining, and with that ...Ugh, yes, hate that acetate lining, and with that and the thick outer combined, oy o.O Still, well done for battling them into submission!Katy Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04374079358515448439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-68067381163259327022012-03-12T03:41:30.933-04:002012-03-12T03:41:30.933-04:00Those fabrics would drive me bonkers (or to drink....Those fabrics would drive me bonkers (or to drink... or both).
