I am a bit nervous about the holes for rivets and Chicago screws too- I thought the part with the line for the screwdriver went on the inside of the bag.....your toostitching is awesome!Material Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13245592639325855693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-43070023801937582312017-09-05T09:55:12.611-04:002017-09-05T09:55:12.611-04:00It is beautiful Bethany! I have used Chicago screws too, but I put tbe flat side to he outside of the bag t look like a rivet. I used my Crop-O-Dile punch to punch a hole and I use a drop of the red Locktite on the screws so they don't come unscrewed later. But I rather like the name. Cork! Not sure if it's available in Singapore. Since losing my membership at a fabric shop due to insufficient purchase, I've not been fabric shopping much. I particularly like that you don't have to use interfacing on cork! fabric. I like all the shiny metal on your bag. In Singapore weather, shiny metal, pleather - they all die very fast. It's a nice bag. The only thing that "bothered" me is the end of the handle looks unfinished. I'd feel better with a line of stitching across.
- Fellow OCDProjects By Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02707620997323055845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-35953648451226111022017-09-05T00:06:53.441-04:002017-09-05T00:06:53.441-04:00That is such a cool bag! Your top-stitching adds a lot to the bag!Charityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01241665927426974819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8089227595191821356.post-39568840269923812982017-09-04T22:06:29.500-04:002017-09-04T22:06:29.500-04:00Thank you! My machine is quite powerful--it didn't balk at any of the seams (and I thought it might, as some were quite thick). I am tempted but haven't taken the plunge yet.
I believe that the cork fabric is scotchgarded.
