Want some fabric?

I bet you thought I was telling tall tales when I said I was going to do a giveaway. I only mentioned it weeks ago and then kept saying "I promise I'm going to do it!" Time is a slippery bugger at this time of the year, eh? Well, on to the details. One person will win a half-yard cut of each of the below fabrics:

Joel Dewberry's 'Floral Drop' in Peony (Deer Valley collection)

Joel Dewberry's 'Lodge Lattice' in Sky (Deer Valley collection)

Bonnie and Camille's 'Fresh' in Scarlett (Bliss collection)
(I think that's the name of this one - it is def-o from the Bliss line though).
The red is much richer in actuality, FYI.

These are all out of print and can be quite difficult to source. In addition to what's shown I have a sweet surprise to add to the mix that you're just going to have to win to find out about (I hope you like Christmas~! That's all I'm going to say about it).

Here come the details:
Leave me a comment about your favorite thing to do this time of year: quilt? knit? bake? family stuff? And if you're south of the equator where it's warming up maybe it's hiking? swimming? road tripping? relaxing on a sunny beach somewhere? Also--leave me a way to get in touch with you. And that's it! Easy peasy.

Open to anyone anywhere. I'll leave this puppy open until Friday October 14th, 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Good luck!

So my fave thing to do this time of the year is making Christmas lists. I love writing down gifts I want to give people and then buying them one by one until December. Mostly because I love wrapping gifts. Haha!

  4. Wow, what a sweet give-away! This time of year, I usually like to take a walk outside, looking at the leaves turning brown (when it's not pouring rain, I do live in Belgium).
But unfortunately, all I will be doing for the coming months, is work on my PhD that should be due by the end of this year ... I sure hope I'll make the deadline ;-)

  9. My favorite thing to do (besides quilt) this time of year is bake and read. :) I love baking, but it's always to hot to spend that much time in the kitchen in the summer. I also love to read, but only spend enough time inside after it gets colder.

  10. Aw yes! Cute fabrics! You know I could make something pretty with it... Once the weather gets a bit more seasonal i.e. rainy, I love to bake cakes, cuddle up on the sofa with a cup of coffee and go through interior magazines - bliss! Have to wait for the sudden Summer to make an exit though... xo

  11. Being in Florida we don't get much in the way of Fall weather but there is something about this time of year that just makes me want to shut the whole world out and just cuddle up as much as possible with my little family...and with 2 very active kiddos...quiet family time is hard to come by! So I take it every chance I can get.

  12. OO! (Squeals with delight at the cuteness of the fabric). I love to go camping this time of year--no crowds, crisp nights (aka campfires and s'mores), and beautiful scenery on day hikes!

  13. Oooh, I love fall. At this time of year I just love cycling around town and smelling fall and watching all the lovely colours. I've crocheted pumpking, am planning to make loads of jam with all the fruit laying around and... I am starting to sew for the holidays!

  14. Lovely fabric! My favourite thing to do at this time of year is pack! Because it usually mean's I'm jetting off to the other side of the world to rejoin fiance. It means I get multiple winters in a row, but I'd rather be with him than without him :P

  20. This time of the year it gets a tiny bit colder in Singapore esp in the morning. That usually makes me want to make myself a quilt. But it won't happen because I can't afford the time. Besides I already have an Ikea quilt.

  21. Love the fabric (although I'm clueless about in and out of print!)

I'm really looking forward to packing up with a group of mates and heading to the Isle of Skye this weekend for a week of walking and photography. I'm taking Baby Brother too, as I'm hoping to just get a few hours in the cottage to relax too :o)

  26. What beautiful fabrics! How can you bear to part with them?! I have to admit, I am not a fall person. I like sun and warmth and light, not cold, grey and winter.. That said, I do like cooking braises and the like, especially now that I just got a slowcooker! I also get into my "nesting" mindset in the winter and I sew and embroider up a storm! I also have a bunch of Christmas presents on the go...

  27. For me, this is soup season! I make soup almost every night :) And I knit...

  39. This time of the year after the apple orchard visit is always baking around my house. I'm doing less each year however as my legs are becoming more painful but I LOVE being in the kitchen. Now however I just finished my first quilting class so that is starting to be what I want to do more and more.

If I see something I like that someone else has made, I try to think of a way to change it and make it my own. I live in the south and it's still in the upper 80s here. Just beautiful!

  53. Splendid giveaway fabric, thank-you! It is warming up nicely thank-you down this way, we are having a refreshing few days of rain followed by equal amounts of sunshine and the gardens are budding, flowers popping out to enjoy the sun too. More time to spend in the garden needed to keep up with the growing but that's ok...got to get the vitamin D to the aging bones sometime.
